Nightline, the New York Times,  the San Francisco Chronicle, the View and Good Morning America have all run stories about the TV Double-Standard: that sexual products for men are allowed on TV but Zestra for women can’t get air time.

So we’re doing something about it!   Please join us and sign our petition for equal advertising rights for women!

Thanks to all who have signed our petition. We’re up to 37 signatures (and counting), and know that more names will be added throughout the weekend. And, since we couldn’t make this happen without your help, we’ve decided to give a year supply of Zestra to the top three recruiters. So these fabulous, persuasive ladies (or gents) will be feeling the oh-mazing effects of the ZestraRush all year long. Right now, Christi Sturgill of Mount Vernon, KY is in the running to enjoy a spectacular 2010- 2011.

We’d also like to thank Julie Silbert, author of http://intimacyinmarriage.com, who posted about the Nightline story and added the petition to her post about sexual satisfaction. Julie, you may have just started a trend. We absolutely love your quote, “…I’m not going to say that orgasm is everything; but it certainly isn’t nothing either.”

Finally, here’s our funny snippet for the day:

What would Rhett Butler say?
“Frankly, my dear, I do give a damn. Women deserve sexual satisfaction.”

To all of our Z fans, we hope you have a great weekend. And, if you think of a funny ‘quote’ that a famous person or character might say about the double standard in advertising, we’re all ears. Comment away.

Are we mad here in Zestra-land at the TV Double-Standard: that sexual products for men are on TV but Zestra for women can’t get air time?

Yup.  And we know thousands of you feel the same way after watching Nightline story and reading the NYT article!

So join us!  Let’s make a difference!  We’ve launched a petition for equal advertising rights for women…

And we want to laugh our way to equal rights for women, so we’ll update this page frequently with snippets about what we think famous people and characters might say about the double standard in advertising.

Here’s a few to get started – we hope they make you laugh and that you write in your own!

What would Peter Finch say (from ‘Network’)?
“We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore.  Zestra for the people.”

What would Oprah say?
“How can I live my best life without options for female satisfaction?”

What would Patrick Henry say?
“Give me liberty or give me Zestra!!!!”

What do you think Sue Sylvester might say??? Because surely, she would break it down for the networks – no one should deny her Cherrios!  Well, maybe Quinn, but…

Send us your thoughts and please sign the petition!  And check back in with us… we’ll post more “what would so-and-so say” comments here to keep you laughing.

Because we’re mad as hell, and we’re not going to rest until women have the same access as men.
